Default a question that has confused every one!!!

about 2 months ago (when i was still driving the Z) i was driving home from work, got about 1mile away from base and heard a POP come from the front end of my car fallowed by my steering getting light and touchy. normally my car feels almost like a manual rack more then a power. right away parked it and not wanting to deal with it then. this past weekend was the first time i was able to take a look at every thing and pull the tires since i finally found my lugnut key!!!!! and at first i was expecting to see a cracked tierod or broke endlink, but every part of the front suspension is solid. though i was not able to take it out to feel how it was acting again since the garage i got it parked in is blocked by my buddies car and hes back in the states on leave. and now im just utterly confused! i have talked to buddies at work that are not only AF mechanics but true gear-heads and no one can come up with any thing to explain it! any help/ides are greatly appreciated!

-Tony

That was my initial thought as well.

Not sure if youve messed with the front springs at all but maybe it just re-seated and made your popping sound. Not that the spring would change the feel of the steering...

i also thought about that, but is it really possible for a air bubble to stay in there for 3 years and just randomly work out?

the other day i was also talking to some of the school house instructors (European Transportation Training Center) and even confused all of them! still have not been able to get it back on the road to test it out again since its still blocked in my buddy's garage.
