I'm new to this forum so i figured i'd share, doesn't seem like there's a lot of blown LT1's around these days. Before the blower it made 356 rwhp with bolt-ons and a cam, so I was hoping it would make good numbers after the install.
Mods: 230/236 cam; LT's; offroad Y; flowmaster catback; 42lbs injectors; walbro pump; S-trim making 7.5 pounds of boost with alky control injection and bunch of other minor mods i can't remember. Keep in mind the heads have never been off the car, 57k miles corrected: 482 rwhp 440 rwtq uncorrected: (35 degree, dry day) 520 rwhp 480 rwtq I'm very happy with the numbers, had it on the road with the s-trim for around a month. I know the bottom end won't last long with those #'s, but there's only 26 degrees of timing in it so my fingers are crossed. I'm waiting on a strange 12-bolt and some M/T drag radials to get here and i'll have it on the track in month. I'll repost some track times. kevin

If it's a good safe tune the bottom end should last at that level. Those are good numbers. I wouldn't have chosen that cam to go with a boosted motor but it looks like it's not hurting things too bad.

The numbers were exceptional before the boost.

I can throw and cam and blower on my car but not to sure how to load and post videos, maybe one day i'll learn! My cam is a blower/nitrous cam, ground on a 114 lsa, with .555/.555 lift. I used to spray the car when it was stock motor (b/f the cam) with boltons, making 436rwhp/500+tq. I went with that much duration because i was aiming for 350+rwhp on motor while keeping it on a 114 for the nitrous. I think its getting the job done now that i went forced induction, but i might have chose something different if i was planning on going that route from the beginning. I hope the bottom end will last at least a year so i can start saving for a rotating assembly and heads, then look for around 650 to the tires. thanks for the replies kevin

Man, that is 100HP more than mine (stock cam) at 7psi (when it is running, hahahah!).
My bottom end has not given any problems. .5psi and the cam and all else about the same... +100HP means you must have a good combo! -T

Thanks. With boost a cam makes a huge difference. I had it on the track last weekend and ran a 12.0 @ 120.9 on a 80 degree day with a headwind. That was on DR's (and my first time on the track since i swapped in the T56) with a 2.0 60ft. I'm going to wait till fall with some good air and borrow my buddies fats and skinnies and shoot for a 11.5 @ 124+, if it lasts that long! A few weeks ago i put in a 12 bolt with all the supporting mods and put it back on the dyno with some tuning. With the rev limiter raised to 6250 it made 488 corrected and 504 uncorrected with a 241 DA reading. I'm happy!
